I’m Gemma, and I really do heart badges.
My story started with a simple realisation: life isn’t a straight line. It’s a messy, wonderful collection of phases, obsessions, and delightful oddities. My day job was in the structured world of web development, but my heart belongs to the analogue and the odd.
Whether it’s hunting for lighthouses, shooting with Polaroid cameras, playing a round of crazy golf, or losing myself in live music, I’ve always been a collector of experiences.

I set up I Heart Badges to bring all those passions together. To me, a pin badge isn’t just an accessory – it’s a time capsule.
I believe that building a pin collection is a way to journey through your quirks. Your denim jacket or lanyard should act as a gallery of where you’ve been and what you love right now. Maybe you’re in your “Aperol Spritz in the sunshine” era, or just finding a piece of art that says “this is so me” – your collection should be an autobiography written in metal and enamel.

Everything you see here is personally curated by me from my base in London. I don’t stock mass-produced, nameless designs. Instead, I seek talented independent artists to bring you pieces that have a soul.

Are the badges designed in London?
While I am based in London, the artists I collaborate with come from all over the world. I love bringing a global perspective to my local boutique.
How do you support independent artists?
Ethics matter to me. I buy stock from artists at wholesale prices or work on licensing agreements that ensure they are paid fairly for every single design. Your purchase directly impacts their creative career.
What is the difference between Hard and Soft Enamel?
Hard Enamel: These are polished flat for a smooth, jewellery-like finish. They are durable, scratch-resistant, and have a premium feel.
Soft Enamel: These have recessed paint and raised metal edges, giving the pin a textured, “3D” look. Many collectors prefer these because they feel more like a traditional badge.
Do you ship internationally?
I do! But sadly, no longer to Europe. I do love seeing my badges travel to new homes across the globe. Shipping is calculated at checkout, and everything is sent with care from my London studio.
What is your return policy?
I want you to love your new flair. If there’s a problem with your order, just send me an email and I’ll do my best to make it right. Since it’s just me, you’ll always get a human response.
